Can I take a pc computer in my checked luggage?

I am flying to russia from LAX and i need to bring a pc computer that's almost assembled but not completely. I checked the LAx website and they said no fragile or electronically items in the checked luggage? So i was wondering if this applies to the computer and if i can still take it
