My husband's Social Security check was not deposited in the bank as usual ... What is going on?

My husband is on SSDI and has received monthly payments for the past eight years, electronically deposited on the third Wednesday of every month. He was re-approved for benefits about five months ago. This month, the third Wednesday has come and gone and the bank said it has not arrived. This is the first time this has happened and we cannot talk to a live person at the Social Security office until Monday. Needless to say, we are upset. Does it sound like a computer glitch?
