Can you transfer Music from a mac (itunes) onto a Samsung Galaxy S cellphone?

Bare with me I just got this phone yesterday and this was a huge upgrade for me. I was using a old school razor phone XD so this is all very new to me. Anyways I was just wondering if you could transfer songs from your computer to the phone. I would know how to do it, but didn't know if the two were compatible. Being that my computer is a mac (so it has itunes) and the itunes syncing up with this Sumsung Galaxy S cellphone. Yes i admit I'm a little electronically challenged lol, so any advise would be great! Thanks so much!
