Iphone won't connect?

My iphone will connect to the computer, and it will charge. Even iTunes recognizes its existence. Unfortunantly it's in the recovery mode. And for some reason, when I try to recover it. It will give me the error code 9 despite it being plugged in completely. It's like it electronically disconnects itself. I have no idea. Help? :(
